Tomas Sucharski threw a gem on Tuesday for the Centennial Eagles Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Westwood by a score of 8-0
Centennial Eagles secured the victory thanks to five runs in the third inning. Centennial’s big bats in the inning were led by a walk by John Riordan, a triple by Charlie Alonso, and a single by Jordan Rowe.
Centennial Eagles fired up the offense in the second inning, when an error scored one run for the Eagles.
Centennial Eagles notched five runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Centennial Eagles was led by Alonso, Riordan, and Rowe, all knocking in runs in the inning.
One bright spot for Westwood was a single by Caleb Fontus in the second inning.
Sucharski earned the win for the Centennial Eagles Varsity. He went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out five.
Jakob Warren took the loss for Westwood. He went three innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out one.
Centennial Eagles smacked one home run on the day. Rowe had a four bagger in the sixth inning.
Centennial Eagles totaled nine hits. Rowe and Kyle Kierst each had multiple hits for Centennial Eagles. Kierst and Rowe each collected two hits to lead Centennial Eagles.
